Introduction

SwiftRate ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") is a freelance project pricing calculator developed as an independent application. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information when you use it on your Android device.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this policy carefully to understand our practices.

1. Information We Collect

SwiftRate does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

The App operates entirely on your device (offline). Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any identifying information.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not collect financial data beyond what you type locally into the calculator fields.
• We do not use analytics tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries.
• We do not connect to the internet or any external servers.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or any other device sensors.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, using a local database (Hive):

• Your last 5 calculations (hourly rate, number of hours, commission percentage, additional expenses, tax percentage, total amount, and the date/time of the calculation).
• Your preferences (chosen currency symbol, tax field toggle).

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded, synced, or shared anywhere. You can delete this data at any time from within the App (Settings → Clear calculation history), or by uninstalling the App.

3. Permissions Used

SwiftRate requests the following Android permissions:

On Android 10 and above, these permissions are not required because files are saved to a private temporary folder that does not need storage permission.

The App does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive permissions.

4. Sharing Features (PDF and Image Export)

When you tap "Share as PDF" or "Share as Image":

1. The App generates a PDF or PNG file locally on your device.
2. The file is saved to a temporary private folder on your device.
3. Your device's system share sheet opens, allowing you to choose where to send it (WhatsApp, Email, etc.).

The App itself does not send the file anywhere. You are in full control of where you share it. The temporary file is automatically deleted when you clear your device's cache or uninstall the App.

5. Third-Party Services

SwiftRate does not integrate with any third-party services, including:

• No advertising networks (no Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.)
• No analytics platforms (no Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
• No crash reporting tools (no Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
• No social media SDKs

6. Children's Privacy

SwiftRate is a professional tool intended for freelancers and does not target children. The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your region).

Since the App collects no personal information whatsoever, it is safe for use by all age groups.

7. Data Security

Since all data remains locally on your device and is never transmitted, the security of your data depends on the security of your device itself. We recommend:

• Using a screen lock on your device.
• Keeping your Android operating system up to date.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

• Calculation history: Automatically limited to the last 5 calculations. You can clear all history at any time via Settings → Clear calculation history.
• Preferences: Stored until you change them or uninstall the App.
• Uninstalling the App: Removes all locally stored data permanently.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Since the App collects no personal data, changes to this policy are unlikely to affect your privacy in any meaningful way.

10. Your Rights

Since SwiftRate collects no personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete (beyond clearing local calculation history as described above). However, if you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to contact us.
